McDonalds in the Amazon

I’m sure you knew that deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest is a cause of global warming. But did you know that a large reason for deforestation is to create grazing pastures for cattle to meet the World’s beef demands? And did you know that McDonalds leads the way in fastfood chain purchases of beef from the rainforest? Essentially, one quarter pounder is equivalent to 25 square feet of the Amazon Rainforest.
